Clean Scapes is seeking a Job Cost Accountant to join our team in Austin.
Clean Scapes is the largest commercial landscaping contractor based in Texas, with locations in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Forth Worth, and Houston. Summary Of Position
As a Job Cost Accountant for our Maintenance Division, you will be a key contributor to our finance and accounting team, involved in a range of administrative and accounting responsibilities. Your communication and organizational skills will be pivotal as you provide support for commercial landscaping projects, helping maintain Clean Scapes’ reputation for excellence in building world-class spaces that will leave legacies on our cities for decades to come.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Job Management and Accounting: Provide essential support for job management and accounting tasks for the Austin maintenance division, including but not limited to:
- Monthly Billing and Collections: Timely preparation of monthly billing and collection activities. Follow client specifications for billing submission and use of portals.
- Weekly meetings with department managers for our maintenance, enhancements, arbor, and irrigation departments.
- Both revenue and expense related job cost reviews and adjustments including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications between jobs and/or accounting periods.
- Houston division accounting management and review.
- Weekly Job Cost Reports: Create and manage weekly job cost reports using Teams or other relevant tools.
- Month-End Processes: Support month-end processes, including job cost reviews, journal entries, and cost allocations specific to the division.
- Purchase Orders and Invoices: Collaborate with Clean Scapes managers to maintain organization and ensure the timely submission of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices related to project costs.
- Other Duties: Take on other assigned duties as necessary to support the team's success. These may include cash receipts/application support, contract review and job set-ups
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage and to set and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Strong Microsoft Suite skills.
- Experience in the industry is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred, but while a degree is impressive, we recognize that what’s on paper doesn’t define you. Many of us have honed our craft at work rather than school. We’ll consider both as a foundation of talent.
