Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and custodial services, with a strong focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role is essential in ensuring that all floor surfaces are well cared for, contributing to a safe and pleasant environment for all building occupants.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of various floor types, including carpet, tile, and hardwood.
- Execute carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain the appearance of floors.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while performing duties.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure cleanliness standards are met throughout the facility.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning requests or emergencies as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, carpet cleaning, and general maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with environmental services practices is a plus.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
