Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various types of flooring in commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of custodial practices, floor care techniques, and environmental services to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Execute carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
- Conduct buffing, stripping, and waxing of hard surface floors to maintain their shine and integrity.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and equipment is in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks to ensure a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve efficient cleaning schedules and maintain high standards of cleanliness across the facility.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and carpet cleaning methods.
- Knowledge of environmental services practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
