General Position Summary
The Manufacturing Associate is an introductory role for a new hire who is either new to the print industry and/or new to CleanMark Labels. During the first 90 days to a year, new hires in this position will cross-train to learn CleanMark’s processes and products, with a core area of responsibility working on a variety of equipment related to label printing. We offer a differentiating cross-training experience, allowing team members to gain an understanding of how the roles of others inter-relate with their own.
Job Requirements
- Energetic, enthusiastic self-starter and team-player, who enjoys learning new manufacturing processes and participating in continuous process improvement
- Two plus years of comprehensive experience with successful results shipping & receiving in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Mechanical aptitude with prior machine operating experience or the ability to quickly learn various types of manufacturing equipment
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to observe workflow to anticipate needs without prompting once trained
- Competency in learning new computer systems related to the position
- Basic math and measurement aptitude
- Must be able to perform basic set-ups on machines and machining tools
- Ability to identify issues and errors to contribute to improvement of quality of product and safety
- Ability to carry out final quality inspection at a beginner level to meet QMS ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Excellent work ethic, including proven attendance, quality, safety and communication skills
- Ability to take initiative to raise questions and carry out self-learning activities
- Ability to follow the policies and procedures set in place by CleanMark Labels
- Team attitude and flexibility to work quickly and with accuracy
- Strong detail skills, the ability to organize and follow directions
- Good conflict resolution skills and ability to address issues directly or raise to the Director of Operations as appropriate/if necessary
- Flexible and positive attitude, willing to jump in to perform other duties as needs arise
- Some exposure to manufacturing practices and fundamentals through work and/or school is preferred
Education and/or Experience: High school degree or equivalent is required. Associate’s degree in manufacturing, Warehousing, or related field is preferred.
