Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Clear Creek Amana Administration Office (Oxford, IA)

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer or designee

Job Summary: To support the administration and the goals of the District in a professional manner that provides a positive environment for students, staff and the general public.

Terms of Employment: 12-month employee; Salary and benefits commensurate with experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist administration office visitors, parents and general public.
  • Responsible for sorting and distribution of interoffice, intracampus and US mail. Will need to make a daily trip to the bank and post office.
  • Support Central Office staff; including AR support with Intouch, AP support with coding and other tasks as assigned.
  • Coordinate and reconcile fundraising activities for middle school.
  • Administer and reconcile pcard program for middle school.
  • Prepare and enter requisitions for purchases for middle school staff.
  • Manage the business office filing and supply needs.
  • Assist with registration of new students through PowerSchools.
  • Support Communications with staff personnel updates on the district website, and other projects as needed
  • Support Human Resources with tracking staff trainings, managing district volunteers, and other projects as needed.
  • Support other administrative office staff as requested
  • Make badges for outside groups, construction and staff.
  • Review parent complaints/issues and direct to the appropriate person
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and one year of clerical and computer experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of Board Policy on Evaluation of Personnel

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee will sit for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, due to the number of persons working in a limited amount of space, there can be distractions. This role may occasionally require work outside the typical work day.
