Community Crisis Response Position
We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Co-responder Clinician to join our community crisis response team. In this role, you will respond to mental and behavioral health-related calls to provide crisis de-escalation and on-scene risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing trauma-informed responses and identifying problems requiring interventions such as mental health holds or safety planning
- Collaborating with on-scene personnel to advocate for clients' mental/behavioral health needs and determine the best call disposition
- Assessing individuals' risk of harm to self or others and arranging necessary resources or transportation
- Enrolling clients in Community Integrated Healthcare Services (CIHCS) for ongoing care and providing resource navigation in the days and weeks following client contact
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited program
- Current licensure as an LCSW/LPC/LMFT/LAC or another appropriate licensure in Colorado
- Minimum two years of experience in crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation, working with individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental illness and/or substance use disorders
