Service Technician
Position Overview:
- Service Technician is responsible for completing repair services for specialized equipment in our wide variety of customer accounts at Precision Equipment Concepts. The primary goal of this position is to provide quality services to all accounts and provide support to administrative staff and mid-level management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (include, but are not limited to, the following)
- Completing necessary repairs, initial assessments, and required maintenance for all equipment, including ordering parts/supplies and transporting floor care equipment.
Responsible for the following tasks and reporting requirements:
- Transport equipment, supplies, or products for account set-ups, construction jobs, wet work projects, or other required services
- Willing to travel throughout company locations (company vehicle provided)
- Correspond with office and area managers regarding equipment issues or repairs
- Delivery of transfers/loaner equipment to stores when required
- Complete pick-ups for parts, products or supplies
- Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance for all company vehicles
- Proper usage of company timekeeping system
- Continuous training with vendors, such as Tennant, Advance, etc.
- Address store/account concerns to company leadership
Job Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings or drug screens as appropriate
- Must be physically able to perform general tasks detailed in the assigned contract
- Strong Mechanical and Electrical Background Experience
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires sitting, standing, climbing, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75-100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance
- Travels to and from various locations
- Required to operate power equipment including floor machine equipment, buffers, auto scrubbers, Hilo and other various power tools
- Use and maintain equipment properly, and operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
Work Schedule:
- Schedule to be maintained Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Some occasional weekends and holidays required
- If working longer than a 8-hour shift, employee must clock in and out and take an unpaid 30 minute lunch/break period
