Fire Fighter Sales & Service is a local family owned & operated business in Grand Rapids. We have been servicing our community for 75 years in the Fire Protection field! Our service technicians provide inspection and maintenance on fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, emergency/exit lighting & more. Providing honest and knowledgeable customer service is an integral part of our daily work. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection and maintenance on fire protection equipment such as fire extinguishers & egress lighting at customer facilities
- Follow daily travel routes
- Verify all parts, gauges, & fixtures are intact and within operable ranges
- Replace parts as needed
- Accurately completing paperwork & inspection documentation daily
- Check in equipment that requires additional service
- Maintain care & stock of a company vehicle
Experience & Skills:
- No prior experience required - on the job training is provided
- Work well independently and with others
- Integrity to complete quality work independently
- Provide excellent customer service
Additional Requirements:
- A valid Driver’s License
- Position regularly requires the ability to stand, kneel, stoop, walk and lift up to 50lbs.
- Proficiency with hand tools
- Ability to follow written & verbal instructions
- Comply with safety rules & regulations at all times
- Individual must pass pre-employment drug test & background checks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
