JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing/Investor Relations Associate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s fundraising, investor communications, and client servicing efforts. This position provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior management, portfolio managers, and marketing teams to enhance relationships with existing and prospective investors. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, along with a deep interest in financial markets and alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support investor relations efforts by preparing fund marketing materials, investor presentations, and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs).
- Respond to investor inquiries and coordinate information flow between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of investor reports, performance updates, and other periodic communications.
- Analyze fund performance metrics and generate insights to support investor discussions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor positioning, and investor sentiment to inform strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and investor communications best practices.
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from top school with strong academic record
- 2-5 years of experience in investor relations, asset management, or investment banking, preferably with exposure to structured credit or alternative investments.
- Understanding of financial markets, credit products, and hedge fund structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms (Backstop or Salesforce preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client service mindset
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and an eagerness to learn.
- Analytic background and exposure to computer programming a plus
- Microsoft SQL and data analysis experience a plus
- Familiarity with PowerPoint design for financial presentations, pitch books, and marketing decks is a plus.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
