What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Clear Sound Audiology?
The person in this role will serve as an administrative assistant to two Board Certified Audiologists and the office manager. Must have excellent customer service skills, as this is a trait that is highly valued in this practice. In addition, good verbal and written communication skills are required. Some work experience in a professional setting is preferred. Paid training will be provided.
The administrative assistant must enthusiastically greet patients, offer amenities and seating, and provide the necessary paperwork to patients. They will be expected to answer incoming phone calls with a smile, take detailed messages, set and confirm appointments, and make referrals to outside physicians when asked to do so by the Audiologist. The administrative assistant is responsible for maintaining office appearance throughout the day, routine money handling, and restocking supplies. They should be able to problem solve and seek answers from their co-workers when issues arise that they may not know how to handle. The administrative assistant must perform all office duties while being HIPAA compliant – HIPAA training will be provided. This practice operates very much like any small business, so the person must be very reliable, will run some routine errands, and be called upon to do some routine upkeep around the office. Must be adept at Microsoft Word and Excel.
The administrative assistant must be a hard worker and a strategic thinker who enjoys thinking of new ways to do things and streamline processes; well-organized, likes to take on new challenges, and self-motivated. This practice provides a beautiful work environment and is a fun place to work with very low employee turnover. Growth opportunities within the first 4-6 months for the right candidate.
