Join our team as an Optometric Technician I and help provide top-tier care while creating a seamless patient experience. What You’ll Do:
- Work one-on-one with patients in a fast pace environment, as we see over 20 patients a day.
- Assist optometrists in delivering outstanding patient care, from pre-screening to post-exam follow-up
- Perform diagnostic tests, gather patient medical histories, and assist in educating patients about their vision benefits
- Insurance verification, and scheduling their next visit
- Ensure smooth patient flow by coordinating appointments and managing office communications
- Other responsibilities include but are not limited to; referral processing, specialty and standard contact lens use training, contact lens ordering and trial inventory management, and medication prior authorizations
- 1 year of experience in customer service (optometric experience preferred but not required!)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and connect with patients
- Strong organizational and time management abilities—you’ll be multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a passion for self-improvement and a desire to learn new skills
- Detail-focused and capable of documenting patient exams and procedures with accuracy
- Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules as needed and a proactive attitude toward team success
