Activities Manager
Location: Rolling Meadows, IL
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (40hrs/week)
Pay: $44,720/year
Clearbrook is a non-profit, social services agency that is dedicated to providing innovative services, tools and opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as Autism and Down Syndrome.
Summary of Position
Clearbrook empowers adults and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live their fullest lives possible. As an activity manager you will have the responsibility of planning, supervising and tracking all client activities at the Commons; both in-house and in the community. The Activity Manager provides training and support regarding activities to Direct Care Staff, tailors activities to client abilities and preferences, and maintains good working relationships with community resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in activities: 20%
- Participate in all Special Olympics activities, Clearbrook on Que, the majority of NWSRA activities, and holiday activities as assigned (some travel required)
Coordination/planning: 20%
- Coordinate all client activities, in-house and in the community, ensuring all clients have the opportunity to participate in activities on a regular basis.
- Plan activities for the entire month, including but not limited to weekends, holidays and days when the residents stay home from day programs.
- Provide staff with an accurate schedule of events monthly.
- Organize and maintain activity supplies.
- Ensure that requirements for activities are reasonable and well communicated.
- Plan birthday celebrations.
- Coordinate funding for activities with Director.
Documentation: 20%
- Complete quarterly assessment of activities, focusing on highlights and barriers.
- Complete annual client assessments and participate in annual client meetings.
- Maintain client birthday list.
Review/ oversight: 20%
- Review activities on a monthly basis.
- Oversee monthly resident meetings.
- Responsible for overseeing the activities of the volunteers in the activity department.
Documentation: 20%
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of the client assessments, progress and recommendations.
- Generate reports and documentation as required by regulatory standards.
- Responsible for submitting of receipts. Invoices for any client purchases.

Qualifications
Education: Minimum: High School Education or equivalent
Preferred: Some College
Job Experience: Minimum: at least one year of related experience
Preferred: previous experience working with people with disabilities
Special Knowledge
& Skills: Good organizational skills and planning
Knowledge of community resources for people with disabilities
