What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Election position at Clearfield County Government?
Clearfield County Government Director of Election. Will be responsible for all County Election operations while managing and administering County Election processes in accordance with the Pennsylvania County Code, policies of the Board of Commissioners/Board of Elections, and Federal , State, and Local laws and regulations, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Duties to include: in-person voting at the voting precincts, "early" voting at the office, mail-in/absentee voting.
Design, programming and testing of audio files and official election ballot using certified voting system hardware and software.
Mastery of state election systems
Testing and securing election equipment prior to Election day
Public outreach, including interaction with media, for pertinent election information.
Recruitment and training of precinct and county poll workers.
Counting all votes and cerfiying the winners as prescribed by county, state, and federal law
Attend training and conferences pertinent to election duties
Manage staff and cross-train where applicable
Accurately maintain Voter Registration rolls.
Prepares required election reports and records for the state.
Performs related work as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
