At CLEARFREIGHT INC DBA HARBOUR we are seeking a dedicated and detail - oriented Export Operations Agent to join our team. In your position, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all the process for shipment of goods from the U.S. to international destinations. This role ensures compliance with export regulations, facilitates documentation processing, and coordinates with ocean carriers, airlines, trucking services companies, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Coordination: Arrange bookings and manage international shipments via ocean, air or land, ensuring adherence to schedules and customer requirements.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and review export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (BOL), Certificates of Origin, and Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings via the Automated Export System (AES).
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations.
- Carrier & Vendor Coordination: Liaise with ocean carriers/ airlines, customs brokers, trucking companies, to book shipments and secure them as per customer’s requirements.
- Customer Service: Provide updates to customers regarding shipment status, resolve any export-related issues, and maintain strong communication with clients.
- Risk Management: Identify potential issues such as delays, customs holds, or compliance risks and proactively address them to minimize impact.
- Billing & Cost Control: Verify freight invoices, ensure accurate cost allocations, and assist in dispute resolution if needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as sales, pricing, and warehouse operations to ensure seamless logistics processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the export process and suggest improvements to enhance workflow and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of U.S. export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with industry platforms such as AESDirect, LogiSuite, Magaya, or other logistics software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and logistics software.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/another language) are a plus.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in export operations, international trade, or freight forwarding.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
