Position Summary:

This key role keeps the company's manufacturing process running. Must be available to ensure production machines are in good condition. Perform regular preventive maintenace to ensure the successful execution of production activities. Diagnose manufacturing equipment problems and take actions to rectify them. Teach and instruct other workers to effectively operate machines in carrying out production tasks. Maintain inventory of spare parts adhering to principles of fiscal responsibility.

Essential Functions:

Inspect newly acquired equipment upon arrival, checking every part to be sure that they are working and meet up with industry standards before they are part of the plant. Learn new equipment under the guidance of the installer. Troubleshoot equipment to determine specific malfunctioning issues and tackle them accordingly. Keep equipment running to ensure plant is functioning.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment. Establish and perform routine equipment Preventive maintenance plan. Handle basic repairs and maintenance. Oversee contractors managing professional repairs. Diagnose and correct mechanical issues. Repair machines, and equipment as needed. Maintain adequate inventory of parts not to exceed what is reasonable and necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience preferred.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, utilizing basic math skills and audit paperwork.

Ability to effectively adapt to change.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Demonstrate good time management and prioritization of duties.

Ability to stand for long periods of time; to work in confined areas, to lift up to 50 lbs. or more.

Must be able to work overtime as necessary.

Physical Requirements / Work Conditions:

Normally standing/walking with freedom of movement on a regular basis. Ability to lift 50 lbs. 60 lbs. require lift with a partner. .Frequent physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and stooping.
