We seek a hands-on Project Engineer with a mechanical engineering background and strong experience in cable assemblies. Youโll take ownership of medical device development projects from concept through production, working collaboratively across design, quality, and manufacturing teams.

๐ Responsibilities
- Lead and manage full lifecycle development of medical devices, focusing on cable assembly systems
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to translate product requirements into design solutions
- Design, prototype, and test custom components, tooling, and assembly fixtures
- Document and control design outputs, including drawings, BOMs, and work instructions
- Work closely with manufacturing to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Conduct risk analysis, FMEA, and design reviews in compliance with FDA and ISO standards
- Support transfer to production, process validation, and continuous improvement activities
โ Qualifications
- Bachelorโs in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3 years in medical device development or a similar regulated industry
- Proven experience designing or working with cable assemblies
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and materials selection
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820)
- Hands-on. Work directly with manufacturing technicians to troubleshoot, develop processes, etc
- Injection molding experience โ overmolding of cables and connectors.
- Knowledge of biocompatible materials, adhesives, and heat-shrinking techniques
- Experience working in a contract development/manufacturing environment
- Machining experience โ manual mills/lathes/tool room equipment
