Project Engineer / Staff Engineer / Geotechnical

We are seeking a qualified Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and directing geotechnical engineering
Responsibilities :
Oversee, manage, and direct geotechnical engineering evaluations for projects with varying complexity.
Coordinating geotechnical field investigations with staff / field personnel
Planning and overseeing geotechnical field investigations, including permit applications
Preparing technical memorandums and reports
Provide review and oversight of geotechnical engineering practices.
The candidate should be able to take on responsibilities and work independently with supervision. This is not a trainee position.
Support business development efforts, including attending, attending meetings
Fieldwork :
Field logging of borings and advancing CPTs. Also, preparing boring / CPT data in gINT
Perform engineering analysis with the following topics : deep / shallow foundation design, liquefaction analysis and mitigation, slope stability, settlement evaluation, lateral earth pressure, retaining wall design, pavement design
Required Competencies :
3-5 years related of civil / geotechnical engineering experience.
Proficiency in design aspects of geotechnical engineering.
Experience in shallow and deep foundation design, including Caltrans design of bridge foundations, retaining walls, MSE walls, and pavements.
Heavy public work projects, transportation heavy (ideally Caltrans project) Caltrans Guideline
Familiarity with the design of mat-type foundations and development of mat foundation
Proficiency in using Settle3D, Slide, AllPile, L-Pile, Shaft, CLiq, and LiquefyPro.
Be proficient in communication with clients and team members
Good writing skills
Attention to detail
Self-starter / learner
Flexibility to work on projects throughout California
Background in geotechnical engineering projects.
California PE license or qualified to get one is a plus but NOT required.
Work experience on infrastructure type of projects is a plus.
