What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drug and Alcohol Counselor position at Clearpath Recovery, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' substance abuse issues and mental health needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs and goals
- Provide addiction counseling and psychotherapy to individuals and groups
- Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to address common themes and provide support
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC, LCDC, CADC)
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to substance abuse and mental health disorders
- Strong assessment skills to evaluate clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the field of substance abuse counseling
Note: Experience in providing individual and group counseling for substance abuse is preferred.
