What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at ClearPoint Search Group, LLC?
We have been fully retained to work on a new search with a growing mid-sized medical device manufacturer in the West Metro looking for a Financial Controller. This role will oversee all of the accounting functions and will be responsible for planning the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activities and financial positions. This role will directly oversee a finance staff of 2 and indirectly supervise the management team related to financial matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage cash flow and banking relationships, forecasting cash flow needs.
• Collaborate with the executive team to establish more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of the company’s general ledger.
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations and strategies, invoice processing, payment remittance, accounting software record-keeping, and purchasing functions are performing as expected.
• Responsible for budget preparation and expense management by providing individuals with company data and information on historical spending across a variety of general ledger coding.
• Ensure that external reporting and filing deadlines are met and that specific changes imposed by external regulatory agencies have been followed and are compliant.
• Provide executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy-making and financial strategizing.
• Compile financial reporting, including being aware of recent changes to financial reporting practices
• Participate in external audit functions by collaborating with external auditors to ensure financial reporting compliance.
• Provide monthly and quarterly reporting of commissions paid to sales staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, math, economy, or related field.
• At least 10 years of direct experience in a similar role.
• Master’s or other advanced degree, CPA preferred.
Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
