Summary:
Our client within the Energy industry is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to lead our quality assurance activities for our Origami Risk re-implementation project. The lead will work closely with the internal project manager, system implementor, and key stakeholders to identify testing needs, develop test plans, lead UAT, and support End-to-End testing. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of this critical initiative, which aims to optimize our legal and safety processes.
Duties:
- Develop and implement test strategies and plans based on project requirements and deadlines. This includes manual testing, UAT, End-to-end testing, and negative testing.
- Work with the project manager and key stakeholders to clearly understand project requirements, expectations, and test coverage.
- Define the scope of testing, including functionality, usability, performance, and security.
- Oversee manual test execution to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Review test results, manage defects, and track them to closure.
- Ensure the timely identification of critical defects and prioritize them based on severity.
- Lead UAT and End-to-testing
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Corporate stakeholders, and Operating Companies to communicate testing progress and results.
- Facilitate test-related discussions and collaborate to identify root causes for any defects.
- Provide transparent, concise reporting on the status of testing efforts, including progress, issues, and potential risks.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in test case design, defect tracking, and test management tools
- Solid understanding of both Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to break down complex issues and scenarios and simplify/explain those to stakeholders with no to very limited IT experience.
- Can lead UAT sessions with minimal oversight.
- Ability to develop custom test scripts or frameworks.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with Origami Risk or general experience in the EHS and/or Risk space is a plus but not required.
Education:
- Relevant four-year degree from an esteemed university desired.
Other:
- Ability to travel 5-10% of the time.
- Hybrid work position. At least 2 days in office/week but potentially more at times.
