As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work closely with the Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Determining patient abilities and limitations in establishing treatment goals
- Planning appropriate occupational therapy treatment
- Reporting observations of patient performance to the Occupational Therapist
- Collaborating with the patient, team members, and area staff during the rehabilitation process
You will also be responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient management of the therapy program areas, equipment, and supplies.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- One year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting
- A strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
