What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alternative Investments Operations Analyst - Hybrid Remote position at Clearstead Advisors LLC?
We are seeking an Alternative Investments Operations Analyst – Hybrid Remote at our downtown Cleveland, Ohio wealth management firm. This position will be responsible for supporting the Operations team in various functions related to alternative investments including new alternative investment onboarding, subscription documents, capital call and transaction processing, and being the primary alternatives vendor/fund administrative contact for the firm.
This position offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week after initial training period.
Position responsibilities:
- Handles and executes onboarding of new alternative investment funds and ensure all new investments are accounted for in CRM and reporting systems
- Works closely with Operations team to ensure all alternative documents are retrieved and indexed appropriately and centrally located for firm stakeholder access
- Manages and tracks potential interest in funds
- Handles subscription process from submission through fund acceptance for approved funds and retains all relevant documentation for all CIC approved funds
- Manage end to end capital call process from initial communication to funding to ensure all calls are accounted for and processed in a timely manner for all CIC approved funds for all CIC approved funds
- Collaborate with operations analysts to audit fund membership to ensure all client alternative investments are accounted for and categorized accurately for all CIC approved funds
- Primary vendor contact for all internal and client related alternatives requests
- Collaborate with and participate in alternatives team, CIC, and ClearAccess meetings to ensure awareness of current and upcoming fund approvals
- Assists with alternative asset classification across reporting systems
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services or wealth management operations, fund administration, private equity or related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple requests and priorities
- Ability to communicate and work well amongst cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems independently
- Proactive character with strong ability to prioritize responsibilities and drive execution with limited supervision
- Highly detail-oriented, well-organized, independent, resourceful, assertive, and self-motivated
