The Bartender is responsible for making the residents’ dining experience pleasant and positive, providing the highest quality of customer service, while maintaining the bar and dining areas, and serving beverages and meals.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospitality beverage service to residents, family members and guests while maintaining and exceeding hospitality and service standards
- Assist residents with beverage selections and respond to pertinent questions about beverage items
- Practice safe, sanitary food and beverage handling and service in accordance with liquor license rules and regulations
- Prepare the set-up the bar and lounge for service
- Utilization of point of sale (POS) for food, beverage and alcohol orders & sales
- Restock the bar for next day service
- Maintain communications with Supervisor regarding inventory of products and services
- Assist managers with set up and break down of special functions
- Utilize proper food and beverage handling and food and beverage service techniques
- Take meal/drink orders and serve meals and beverages in a friendly and timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of all specials and general description of all food and beverage items and explain to residents or guests
- Maintain all side stations and dining areas using the “clean as you go” policy
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules
- Complete daily meal tracking log and forwards to hostess/dining room manager
- Represent the Clearwater Core Values on a daily basis
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
- Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis
- Comply with Clearwater standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations
- Display a positive and professional image through actions and maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Work experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Current First Aid certificate
- Serve safe certificate preferred
- Must comply with minimum age requirement per state regulations to serve alcohol
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
- Must meet health requirements, including TB
- Hold/Obtain Serve Safe TIPS certification and/or other state/local responsible alcohol service certifications.
