What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician position at Clearwater Pool and Spa?
Technicians are needed to provide quality analysis, repairs, and replacements of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment. Knowledge of pool and spa equipment relating to heaters, filters, pumps, motors, chemistry, and electrical is preferred BUT NOT REQUIRED. Position requires an emphasis on flexibility, accuracy, and motivation due to the demanding schedule during pool season. The position requires strength and mobility to operate hand and power tools. The ability to drive a motor vehicle to various pool sites is a must. Stamina is needed to perform sustained physical labor while working in confined or awkward spaces. Candidates must have strength to lift and maneuver materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds with appropriate equipment.
Service Technician Job Description:
Diagnose, repair and maintain residential, and commercial pools and spas.
Test and maintain water chemistry for all pool and spa applications.
Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
Transports and stores hazardous chemicals.
Maintain an acceptable personal appearance, and strong customer focus. Employees will be required to wear a uniform and appropriate safety apparel and equipment.
All other duties that are assigned by the manager.
Laborers are needed to provide installation and renovations of residential pools. Applicants should have residential construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation. Laborers with special skills, such as concrete finishing and heavy machine operators, are particularly in high demand. The ideal candidates will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.
Laborer Job Description:
Dig pits, and trenches in preparation for job site construction.
Operate heavy machinery, including construction vehicles.
Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site.
Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary.
Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles.
All other duties that are required by the manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/ GED preferred
Valid Driver's license
Comfort working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
Training available for motivated individuals to work as tech helper. Flexible to work overtime when necessary
Applicants should have experience but not necessary in servicing pool motors, pumps, and heaters. As well as chemical handling, plumbing and hydraulic and electric trouble shooting.
