SUMMARY
As an Ice Cream Production Team Member, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the production of high-quality and decadent ice creams and sorbets. With core skills in food manufacturing and food handling, you will assist in the production process, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and maintaining a sanitary production environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate ice cream machines to produce, and package ice cream per approved recipes and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards to FDA standards
- Operate manufacturing equipment (including but not limited to: ice cream batch freezers, industrial sized blenders, pumps, COP system)
- Maintain food safety records
- Quality check ingredients and finished product
- Perform other duties as directed by leads or supervisors
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1-2 years kitchen or food manufacturing experience preferred
- Reliable means of transportation to and from production facility
- Must have the ability to read, write and speak English
- Must have basic math skills
- Lift 30 lbs constantly
- Lift 50 lbs occasionally and comfortably
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift
- Must be able to climb step stools of varying heights
- Ability to strictly follow recipes, standards, and procedures while adhering to safety and sanitation rules
- Tolerate abrupt and significant changes in temperature
- Ability to taste, smell, and distinguish colors and flavors
- Ability to handle products and ingredients that include milk, egg, peanut, tree nut, soy, and/or wheat
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
