- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Management
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and timely.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections efforts.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies proactively.
- Month-End Close Support
- Assist in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense allocation.
- Support accruals and adjustments for financial accuracy.
- Financial Data Analysis & Reconciliation
- Analyze transactions to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement areas.
- Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Provide data insights to improve efficiency and financial accuracy.
- Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify and implement improvements in AP/AR processes to increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Ad Hoc Projects
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to support accounting needs.
- Assist in financial reporting and forecasting efforts as needed.
- Support other accounting functions, including special projects and system implementations.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in accounting software, quick books and Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). NetSuites a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- High analytical ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Sense of urgency to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot financial discrepancies.
