Overview
Clemson Downs is seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistants to work with our Independent Living residents enrolled in our new Cater with Care program. This role is vital for enhancing the quality of life for residents in our Independent Living apartments who need some extra help. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy and patience, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of care and attention.
The hours for this position will be 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and also 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Rotating weekends will be required. We are seeking applicants for both morning and evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and grooming.
- Monitor resident health and report any changes in condition to our Independent Living Nurse Manager.
- Provide companionship
- Support residents in medication management as directed.
- Document observations regarding client behavior and health status for ongoing care assessments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving is preferred.
- Strong observational skills to monitor client well-being effectively.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Professional appearance and behavior at all times
