Join Our Team: Service Specialist - Intergenerational
Are you passionate about creating engaging programs while connecting with your community? We're looking for a creative and dynamic individual to join our team as a Service Specialist - Intergenerational! In this role, you'll develop and facilitate exciting programs, while also leading outreach initiatives to strengthen our community connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and lead programs for all ages, including storytimes and special youth programs.
- Drive the library van and coordinate outreach services like Library2Go and pop-up libraries to bring library resources to the community.
- Provide reader's advisory and library instruction to guests of all ages.
- Assist with collection maintenance and ordering program supplies within budget.
- Create displays to promote library programs and services.
- Collaborate with community partners to build relationships and expand outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree and/or prior library experience is preferred.
- Experience in delivering creative and engaging programs is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with guests, community partners, and colleagues.
- A valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
- Proficiency in technology, including library systems and common software applications.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet community needs.
