JOB SUMMARY:
The Cleveland Cavaliers are seeking a 'Client Engagement & Experience Specialist' to support the planning and execution of events that drive engagement for all of our clientele: Corporate Partners, Premium Clients, Members of Cavs United, Groups, Youth Sports, and internal team members (employees). Reporting to the 'Director of Client Engagement & Experience', this role will play a critical part in delivering high-quality, impactful events that align with the Cavaliers’ strategic goals.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized, and creative professional with experience in event coordination and a passion for crafting memorable experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Event Planning & Execution -
- Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of events, including hospitality receptions, partner activations, prospect events, and VIP experiences.
- Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, vendor management, catering, audiovisual needs, transportation, and staffing.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including corporate partnerships, marketing, and ticketing, to ensure events align with organizational goals.
- Manage event setup and teardown, ensuring all elements are executed according to plan and brand standards.
- Maintain detailed event timelines, budgets, and task lists to ensure all events are executed on time and within scope.
- Track RSVPs and manage event registration platforms to provide accurate attendee data and reporting.
- Handle communication with vendors, partners, and attendees, providing timely updates and responses to inquiries.
- Gather attendee feedback through surveys and reporting tools to assess event impact and identify areas for improvement.
- Compile post-event recaps for leadership, including attendance, expenses, and success metrics.
- Design collateral – including invitations, PowerPoints, and sales board for the revenue teams.
- Contribute ideas for innovative event concepts and attendee engagement strategies.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the Cavaliers’ event offerings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in event coordination, preferably for a sports organization, entertainment venue, or a related industry.
- Must have availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and occasional Holidays as required by event schedules.
- Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce is a plus.
