- Prepare Medications: Select, label, repack, non-sterile compound, and sterile compound medications for patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with USP 797 guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventories of medications and supplies, completing inventory audits such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations, documenting regulatory requirements like temperature logs and scheduled activities.
- Technology Integration: Utilize information systems, technology, and automation to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Florida-licensed Registered Pharmacy Technician; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- Skills: Algebraic calculations for extemporaneous compounds preparation; basic computer skills.
