A caregiver in this position works nights from 8:00PM – 6:30AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, structures and systems (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAS, carpentry and/or paint).
- Document and maintain records of inspection and work performed.
- Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Work experience in General Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, Mechanical Repair or HVAC OR military experience as a Utilities Man (UT), Builder (BU), Machinists Mate (MM) or a similar role OR successful completion of an accredited trade school and one year of related experience

Physical Requirements:
- Full body motion
- Working while bending, stooping, stretching and climbing ladders
- Dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery
- Lifting and carrying machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 pounds and/or lifting weights exceeding 100 pounds with assistance
- Color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems

- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
