As an HR Generalist I, you will support Clinical Access Contact Center within Clinical and Operational Improvement. You will serve as the Program Manager for one or more HR-specific programs, providing counsel and direction to management of HR functions. In this role, you will also assist in the areas of caregiver relations, compensation, performance management and development, team effectiveness and caregiver engagement. While you may not interact with patients directly, your efforts will leave a positive, lasting impression – from the moment they enter the facility to the time they return home.
A caregiver in this position works days, 8:00AM—5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Act as a confidential advisor on performance management, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and investigations.
Counsel client groups and facilitate conflict resolutions.
Interpret and advise on policies and programs encompassing all aspects of Human Resource Management to all levels of caregivers.
Conduct investigations and make recommendations to business leaders.
Facilitate the Right of Review process.
Build and maintain relationships with the various human resources center of excellence (COE) partners and ensure communication of programs and their implementation to all employees.
Navigate and pull reports from various systems such as Kronos, HRIS (Workday), My Learning, etc.
Analyze HR and business metrics and provide recommendations to the HR Director and leadership.
Support regulatory practices to promote fair and equitable treatment of caregivers.
Maintain regulatory knowledge and expertise.
Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
Determine development needs of specific segments of the organization and provide developmental training.
Provide support in workforce planning to include partnering with talent acquisition and compensation to review requests such as promotions, equity reviews and job reclassifications and providing recommendations to leadership.
Support the process for all regulatory/accreditation surveys such as Joint Commission, CMS and ODH.
Monitor compliance with organizational initiatives (e.g., compliance modules, flu, engagement, etc.)
Participate in organizational leadership councils and committees as appropriate.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field and five years of progressive HR experience OR High School Diploma/GED and nine years of experience OR Associate’s Degree and seven years of experience
Knowledge of employment and labor laws (EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, NLRA, etc.)
Strong critical thinking, relationship building, communication, group facilitation and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Certifications
Relationship building skills
General HR knowledge
Can work within a matrix environment

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system and, in some locations, off-site.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $30.41
Maximum hourly: $46.38
