A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7:30AM – 4:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Perform registration and obtain demographic, insurance, medical and financial information.
- Crosstrain to all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED, and cash register.
- Function as a Super User and a resource for training of new caregivers.
- Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a customer facing role OR an associate’s degree and one year of experience OR a bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders OR completion of course within one year
- Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems

Physical Requirements:
- Communicate and exchange accurate information
- Perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system in some locations
- Ability to move up to 25 pounds in some locations
