The Weekend Flex Program offers an excellent opportunity to maintain a healthy work-life balance while maintaining licenses and/or registrations. As a CT Technologist on this team, you will work 48 hours per pay period, choosing from weekend shifts starting at 3:00PM on Fridays and ending at 8:00AM on Mondays. While you remain at a part-time status, you will be eligible for full-time tuition reimbursement, 33% premium pay and excellent benefits/PTO.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Check and prepare patients prior to CT study.
- Acquire and review patient chart data/requisition to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems/contraindications to the study and verify the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
- Assure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Perform daily QA.
- Assist with scheduling of patients as needed.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications.
- Performs venipuncture as necessary.
- Maintain all aspects of the CT area to ensure proper quality assurance results, maintenance of required documentation and state of inspection readiness and compliance (e.g., JCAHO, ODH, etc.).
- Knowledgeable in billing via RIS.
- Observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems to appropriate individuals.
- Cover other modalities, sites and/or locations as needed.
- Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and Radiology students.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
- Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] required within one year of hire
- Current state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and assist with lifting patients of varying weights and manipulate equipment daily.
