We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to offer quality programs, outreach, and reference assistance with a pro-active service attitude. In our Youth Services Department, we provide service to those from birth to age 18, as well as for the adults who care for them.
Being passionate about public libraries and working with children, teens and the public is key for success. Candidates should be prepared to work with an after-school crowd with children ranging from grades Pre-K thru 8. Candidates must value teamwork and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Librarians provide reference services, look for service needs in our community, provide outreach services, develop programming (including story times), and instruct customers in the use of technology and library equipment. They also regularly act as the person in charge of the building.
We work closely with the Cleveland Heights-University Heights communities to advance the goals of the Library and our community.
