Aon is looking for a Vice President, Health Solutions Account Executive in Chicago or Lincolnshire, IL! Experienced account executive to lead Health and Benefits client relationships, develop benefits strategy, and lead a team to manage clients’ benefits programs. The role involves responsibility for benefits consulting and vendor management for assigned clients, including placing insurance and coordinating the assigned client team. This position will have frequent interactions with clients’ HR, Benefits and Finance executives regarding the delivery of benefits consulting services. What the day will look like : Develop employee benefits strategies, lead sophisticated benefits consulting projects, manage vendors, develop client reports, lead external meetings and internal resource coordination. Maintain and grow long-term client relationships through excellent serviceDisplay an in-depth understanding of the Health and Benefits benefits marketplace, as well as Aon’s Health and Benefits practiceParticipate as needed on internal projects and initiatives that advance the knowledge and skills of Aon’s Health and Benefits practicePossess experience and expertise in benefit plan design, rate analysis, strategy, RFP development and response review, insurance carrier negotiations, stewardship report preparation, benchmark analysis, client financial analysis and reporting and carrier contract reviewsDemonstrate excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal collaboration skillsExhibit leadership in business judgment in anticipating client / project needs and developing alternative solutionsForm effective teams, share client background and goals, measure results, share ideas, identify process improvements, provide timely and regular coaching and feedback to team membersLead all aspects of vendor negotiations and provide coaching to other team membersAct as strategic resource for consultantsExhibit thought leadership—understand and be able to articulate ideas to clientsBe willing learn about other Aon solution lines and introduce to clients as appropriate Skills and experience that will lead to success : Ten or more years of Health and Benefits backgroundFive plus years of benefits consulting / brokerage experienceClient facing experience at a consulting company, insurance company, brokerage or in the Health and Benefits disciplineComplex project management experienceBroad business knowledge / perspectiveTeam building skillsBusiness development experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office tools Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experienceLife / Accident / Health insurance license (or ability to learn license after hire) We offer you : The salary range for this position is $130,000-$190,000 per year. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities. This position also includes an annual bonus that is targeted at 25% of salary.
