ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – BIOMETRIC PRIVACY (BIPA) & COMPLEX CLASS ACTIONS

Our client, a prestigious law firm recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms , is seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its Complex Class Action & Biometric Privacy Practice Group in Chicago . This role presents an exciting opportunity for an attorney interested in providing clients with Biometric Information Privacy Act ("BIPA") and tech-related counseling and compliance, as well as defending technology providers and employers in BIPA class actions.
Candidate Profile :
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record .
Bar admission in Illinois .
2 years of substantive experience in biometric privacy , class action defense , or related litigation .
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide strategic legal counsel on BIPA compliance and related technology-driven privacy matters .
Defend clients in BIPA class action litigation , representing technology providers , employers , and other entities .
Manage cases from inception through resolution , including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial.
Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop legal strategies and risk mitigation approaches .
Stay current on emerging legal issues related to biometric privacy and evolving data protection laws.
