POSITION SUMMARY : Responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms / suites, meeting spaces, restaurant and common areas including building interiors and exteriors and pool / spa facilities
DUTIES :
- Responsible for scheduling engineering and maintenance operations for the hotel / lodge, hotel / lodge property, Lobby, meeting rooms, grounds, pool / spa and all associated facilities / venues.
- Maintains guest rooms, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
- Supports hotel departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
- Ensures Guests requests are responded to according to four-diamond service standards
- Performs and / or monitors maintenance and preventative maintenance projects.
- Responds to all building related safety concerns.
- Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures
- Uses power and hand tools to perform repair and maintenance work.
- Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor, dollies and other basic loading and unloading equipment as required.
- Drives vehicles to transport materials such as furniture, supplies or equipment as required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be considered in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
1. Education : High School diploma, GED or Equivalency
2. Work Experience :
a. 3 years’ supervisory experience
b. 4 years’ resort hotel experience in facility / maintenance operations
c. Additional education and / or related work experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position.
3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
a. Be familiar with operational use of a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
b. Knowledge of building and equipment maintenance / repair techniques.
4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements : Pool / Spa Certification (CPO)
5. Be at least 18 years of age.
6. Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
