What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tennis and Pickleball Coach position at Cliff Drysdale?
Responsibilities:
• Provide beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.
• Assist in promoting and conducting tennis clinics, private lessons, special events, and programs to attract and maintain members' tennis interests.
• Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that encourages continued involvement in tennis.
• Assist in supervising play and ensuring proper charging of fees.
• Ensure students understand tennis rules, scoring procedures, safety rules, and tennis etiquette.
• Enforce all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment, and other property.
• Respond to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns in a professional, tactful, and timely manner.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
• Complete USTA SafePlay Certification prior to position start.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
• Excellent member service skills, friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.
• Ability to build positive relationships with members and team members.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of racquet sports.
• Effective teaching styles and techniques.
