What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Facilitator position at Clifford W Beers Guidance Clinic Incorporated?
PURPOSE:
Execute program projects, initiatives, curricula and activities for the Youth Empowerment, Parent Engagement. Successful candidates will excel at program facilitation and coordination, child and youth engagement and classroom management, while showing mastery in clerical duties. The work will be a variety of direct service, administrative, coordination and logistical services while fostering child and youth development. Successful candidates will have knowledge of development assets, direct childcare and time management skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Facilitate the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of program projects, initiatives, curricula and activities for youth, parents, and/or site staff. This is inclusive of the following:
- Workshops and/or trainings
- Projects and presentations
- Community service endeavors
- Daily attendance sheets for each program sessions.
non-direct service time at sites to meet with program instructors/administrators, observe students in site setting and communicate students’ needs with administrators about the students.
4. Work with site staff to schedule and coordinate projects and presentations.
5. Monitor and track programming session dates to ensure the correct number of program sessions were delivered to each site.
7. Work with Site Manager to develop and complete required reports (program assessments and reports, incident reports, safety procedures, etc.) associated with each program site.
8. Participate in daily staff meetings and other meetings and trainings essential to the execution of job functions.
10. Create a safe and engaging learning environment.
11. Ensure that all participants are spoken to with respect and care
12. Arrive to site at least 30-minutes prior to the start of each programming session.
13. Assist with planning and execution of programming events, as required.
14. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
- High School Diploma or College degree (preferred)
- 2-4 years of work experience in related field

TRAVEL:
This role may require travel throughout the Greater New Haven area each day.
