Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chinese-speaking Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work and be skilled in providing support to diverse populations, particularly those who speak Chinese. This role involves working with individuals and families to address various social, emotional, and behavioral challenges while promoting overall well-being and access to necessary resources.
Duties
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of clients and develop individualized service plans.
- Provide mentoring and support to clients in navigating social services, including Section 8 housing assistance and Medicare.
- Offer addiction counseling and crisis intervention services to individuals facing substance use challenges.
- Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to facilitate access to resources for clients.
- Supervise case management activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Engage in child welfare initiatives, advocating for the safety and well-being of children in vulnerable situations.
- Implement behavioral health strategies to support clients dealing with mental health issues.
- Participate in crisis management efforts, providing immediate support during emergencies or critical situations.
Qualifications
- A degree in Social Work or a related field is required; licensure as a Social Worker is preferred.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is essential for effective communication with clients.
- Experience in mentoring, supervising, or managing social work cases is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques and behavioral health practices is beneficial.
- Familiarity with child welfare policies and crisis intervention strategies is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to advocating for client needs.
