POSITION SUMMARY
The role involves maintaining inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, monitoring and controlling inventory integrity, and investigating discrepancies. Responsibilities include accurately processing inbound freight-ensuring inspection, count verification, labeling, and electronic receipt-while utilizing RF equipment effectively. The position requires a commitment to safety by operating material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines. Clear identification and labeling of parts are critical, alongside maintaining a clean work area and providing insights for operational improvements. The ability to work independently and complete assigned duties in a timely manner is essential.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Monitor and control inventory integrity
- Research inventory discrepancies
- Report discrepancies of over / under amounts and any damaged products
- Count and recount with accuracy to balance or verify possible issues
- Work with supervision to ensure that a comprehensive root cause analysis is compiled and reported on inventory discrepancies
- Ensure the proper identification and labeling of parts according to the KOAX labeling schematic
- Able to perform basic math calculations with speed and accuracy
- Ability to work independently
- Experienced with the safe operation and care of material handling equipment
- Able to pass company powered vehicle operator's certification program
- Process all in-bound freight including inspection, count verification, labeling and electronic receipt of delivery
- Accurate and timely completion of receiving functions
- Ensure educational opportunities provided are used effectively
- Maximize use of available resources including RF equipment
- Accurately process in-bound freight
- Prepare the freight for use in the plant or office
- Accurately record all receipts
- Keep work area neat and clean
- Provide input to management to improve receiving operations
- Use RF equipment for recording receipt information
- Notify proper department for inbound inspections
- Maintain control of all materials until delivered to intended recipient
- Clearly and accurately mark all inventory with proper KOAX designations, i.e. part number, location
- Unload material from trucks in a safe manner following all pertinent OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Complete any other assigned duties
Supervisory Responsibilities :
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Skills & Abilities
Education : High School Diploma or GED preferred; or 1-3 months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience : 3 - 5 years of warehouse experience is preferred.
Computer Skills : Basic computer skills with familiarity of AS400 software, and Microsoft excel
Certificates & Licenses : Forklift certified.
Other Requirements : Knowledge of operational excellence principles, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and 5S is preferred.
