Position Title: Mid-Level Landscape DesignerLocation: Longmont, Colorado (Must be able to commute within Boulder County)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM (a mix of fieldwork, work-from-home, and meetings in Boulder County). No nights. No weekends.Salary: $55,000-$75,000 Depending on experience, profit sharing bonuses

About the Role:We’re searching for a passionate Mid-Level Landscape Designer to join our team and bring the beauty of native Colorado plants to life in outdoor spaces. If you’re someone who geeks out over sustainable landscaping and knows your way around CAD, this is your chance to create eco-friendly designs that WOW.What makes this role exciting? You won’t just be designing landscapes; you’ll help grow a company that’s reshaping the way people think about outdoor spaces.
What You’ll Do:Design & Plan:Dream up innovative landscape designs using native Colorado plants.Create detailed plans, CAD renderings, and visually stunning presentations using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.Collaborate with our senior designers and project managers to bring concepts to life.Dive into Native Plants:Choose native plants that thrive in Colorado’s diverse climates.Stay updated on plant species, growth habits, and maintenance needs.Educate clients (and teammates!) on the perks of using native plants.Manage Projects Like a Pro:Coordinate projects from idea to reality alongside clients, designers, and installation teams.Conduct site analyses to ensure designs fit environmental conditions and client needs.Keep everything organized—proposals, planting plans, and maintenance guidelines included.Connect with Clients:Meet with clients to explore ideas, gather feedback, and present your creations.Build lasting relationships by staying professional, communicative, and solutions-focused.Deliver honest feedback and creative solutions to maximize client satisfaction.Champion Sustainability:Infuse eco-friendly and innovative practices into every design.Stay ahead of industry trends and inspire clients to think green.
What You Bring to the Table:Education & Experience:A Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture, or a related field.3 years of hands-on experience in landscape design (formal education counts!).Bonus: Familiarity with native Colorado plants, sustainability practices, and landscape materials like gravel, pavers, and stone.Skills:Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD (a must), SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.Strong understanding of Colorado’s native flora and ecological principles.Excellent communication and time management skills.Personal Vibes:You’re a creative thinker with an eye for detail.You care deeply about sustainability and want to make an impact.You’re organized, self-motivated, and not afraid to learn from mistakes.Other Must-Haves:A valid Colorado driver’s license and a clean driving record.Reliable tech (including a smartphone).Must reside in Boulder County.
