Position Summary:
The benefits advisor for patient access will provide patients and/or guarantor with their insurance benefits and financial responsibility. Also, the benefits advisor will be responsible for securing payment in full or establishing payment arrangements within guidelines set forth by Clinch Valley Medical Center.
Education: High School Diploma is required. Associate's Degree strongly preferred.
Experience: Prefer at least six (6) months experience in a hospital and/or medical office setting in a similar role.
Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
