What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interior Design Summer Intern position at Cline Design Associates?
Responsibilities:
- Observe and participate in design meetings
- Create electronic and physical finish boards
- Maintain and organize finish library
- Gain familiarity with associated design technologies such as Revit, InDesign, Sketchup, etc.
- May assist with drawing corrections as needed
- Assist Interior Designers and Project Managers with various aspects of the design process, including concept imagery, selection of finishes, lighting, and furniture
- Attend and assist designers with site visits as needed
- Participate in team meetings when schedule permits
- General administrative tasks
Education and Experience:
- Currently attending an accredited college or university to obtain Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Capable of prioritizing and executing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism with clients, vendors, co-workers, etc.
- Takes instruction well and executes tasks efficiently under guidance
- Knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, and finish materials
- Basic graphic and visualization skills, as well as verbal, written and presentation skills
- Basic knowledge in Adobe InDesign and PhotoShop
- Encouraged to attend industry events
