Position Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Medical Administrator to join our Clinic 5C team. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a patient-first mindset. This position is integral to the daily operations of our specialty wound care services, ensuring smooth coordination between referral partners, patients, and providers.
The Medical Administrator will be responsible for managing the complete workflow from referral to completion of treatment, including:
- Processing and managing referrals from referring providers
- Serving as the primary point of contact for referring providers, patients, and internal teams
- Scheduling and communicating with patients to coordinate appointments across multiple providers, locations, and territories
- Verifying insurance information regularly for accuracy and eligibility
- Managing the IVR (Insurance Verification Request) process for various treatment types
- Sending regular updates to referring providers regarding patient progress
- Answering phone calls and responding to wound care emails promptly
- Tracking patient progress on a weekly basis and ensuring providers have the information needed to monitor healing
- Requesting additional chart notes and documentation from referring sources, ensuring timely receipt, and communicating them to the provider
- Managing provider orders and ensuring they are processed and returned to referring providers within 24 hours
- Coordinating new patient paperwork and ensuring all required documents are completed
- Accurately entering patient data into the EHR system, maintaining attention to detail
- Coordinating with the billing team as needed for insurance and billing-related matters
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
