We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance, support, and optimization of our enterprise systems, including Windows Server 2022 Active Directory, VMWare 8 Clusters, and Azure Active / Entra Directory. The ideal candidate will ensure system reliability, security, and scalability while maintaining up-to-date documentation and providing technical support for internal teams. Salary Expectation : $65-70,000 USD. Key Responsibilities : System Administration and Maintenance :
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows Server 2022 Active Directory environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Oversee VMWare 8 Clusters, including configuration, patching, and troubleshooting virtual infrastructure.
- Support and integrate Azure Active Directory / Entra Directory into on-premise and cloud-based environments. Monitoring and Optimization :
- Proactively monitor system health, performance, and security using appropriate tools.
- Identify and resolve system vulnerabilities, bottlenecks, and other technical issues.
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineer to implement improvements to system efficiency and reliability. Documentation and Compliance :
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory requirements, and security best practices. Technical Support :
- Provide Level 2 / 3 technical support for enterprise systems, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Assist in the planning and execution of system updates, migrations, and other projects. Collaboration and Continuous Learning :
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives and align with organizational goals.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions as appropriate. Other Duties as Assigned :
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Systems Engineer or Director of IT and Compliance. Qualifications : Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on Windows Server environments and virtualization. Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Experience managing VMWare environments, including vSphere and ESXi.
- Knowledge of Azure Active Directory / Entra Directory and hybrid identity solutions.
- Familiarity with IT monitoring tools and techniques.
- Understanding of network concepts, such as TCP / IP, DNS, and DHCP. Soft Skills :
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Certifications (Representative) :
- Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate or similar.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- CompTIA Security or equivalent. Work Environment :
- Primarily remote-based with occasional datacenter or office work.
- May require evening or weekend work for system maintenance or incident response.
