The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor will oversee patient care throughout our 25-bed facility. This includes collaborating closely with various departments to ensure that patient nutrition aligns with both medical needs and operational goals.
The ideal candidate will work closely with dietitians and nutritionists to develop patient-specific meal plans and dietary guidelines. They will also work with nursing staff to ensure effective implementation, especially for patients with special feeding requirements or dietary restrictions.
Critical components of this role include close collaboration with physicians and clinical staff to integrate dietary care within patient treatment plans. The supervisor will also communicate with the pharmacy team to ensure awareness of potential food-drug interactions and the appropriate timing of meals with medications.
In addition, this individual will work with infection control and environmental services to maintain high standards of safety and hygiene in all food preparation and service protocols. They will also partner with administration and finance departments on managing costs without compromising nutritional quality.
Through close collaboration with food service staff and kitchen personnel, the Clinical Nutrition Supervisor ensures that every meal meets the hospital's dietary standards, contributing to patient recovery and overall care quality.
