As a Speech Language Therapist (SLP), you will conduct clinical speech and language pathology services, including patient evaluation, interpretation of results, and intervention for patients with various diagnoses. You will accurately assess and treat language/speech and swallowing impairments resulting from neurological insult/disease, developmental disabilities, or other conditions.
You will communicate with physicians and other referral sources, providing clinical guidance to non-licensed personnel. You will work closely with various healthcare team members, administering contrast media under the supervision of radiologists during videofluoroscopy.
The ideal candidate should have five years of active licensed clinical SLP experience. They should be competent in 2-3 areas: Bedside Swallow Evaluation, Videofluoroscopy, Blue Dye Swallow Evaluation. Current California licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist is required, along with BLS certification and Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA.
