The Clinical Neuroscience Instructor will lead the clinical orientation and development of nursing fellows within the Neuroscience Unit. This role combines direct patient care, hands-on teaching, and mentorship to equip nursing fellows with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in their roles. Key Responsibilities:
- Education & Orientation: Develop individualized education plans, facilitate competency training, and implement teaching methods rooted in adult learning principles.
- Clinical Instruction: Provide direct patient care while guiding orientees through tailored clinical experiences, including rotations in specialized areas such as clinics and ORs.
- Patient Care Instruction: Mentor fellows in preparing for patient care, prioritizing tasks, and fostering critical thinking through real-time support and post-clinical discussions.
- Safety & Communication: Promote a culture of safety and ensure clear, timely communication with patients, families, and staff.
- Professional Practice: Serve as a role model, facilitating the socialization of new nurses into the professional environment and participating in ongoing performance improvement initiatives.
